Certified Nursing Assistant/Caregiver
About The Position
WoodCreek Bend Memory Care in Katy, Texas, is hiring a full-time CNA/Caregiver for its senior living and memory care setting. The role provides hands-on assistance with residents’ daily living needs while supporting their safety, comfort, dignity, and independence. Caregivers also monitor and document changes in residents’ condition, communicate with nurses, families, and team members, and support residents with Alzheimer’s disease or other forms of dementia. The full-time evening schedule is 2:00 PM to 10:00 PM. New hires must complete three consecutive days of training and Educare training before working scheduled shifts.
Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- At least one year of experience in assisted living or skilled nursing is required.
- Complete three consecutive days of required training and Educare training before working scheduled shifts.
Responsibilities
- Provide hands-on help with bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility.
- Support residents’ safety and comfort while promoting dignity and independence.
- Monitor residents for changes in physical or cognitive condition.
- Document care provided.
- Communicate effectively with nurses, family members, and other team members.
- Support residents with Alzheimer’s disease or other forms of dementia with patience and understanding.
- Engage residents in activities that promote mental stimulation and emotional well-being.
