About The Position
Our Lady of Mercy Life Center (OLOM) is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to join their progressive team. OLOM utilizes innovative technologies like Smart Cell Flooring to reduce patient falls and an Artificial Sky to assist residents in their Memory Care unit. The sub-acute unit offers opportunities to gain clinical experience to advance nursing practice. OLOM believes in providing care that emphasizes dignity, respect, and self-worth, and is looking for individuals who want to make a difference in the lives of elders and become part of their family. This role offers the chance to become more than a caregiver, but a part of a family where actions can change lives for the better. The CNA will perform direct and indirect patient care tasks, assist with clerical and support tasks to ensure quality patient care, and contribute to the efficient and effective operation of patient care units.
Requirements
- Must be able to read, write and speak English.
- High School Diploma or equivalent life-experience preferred.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills and a sincere desire to serve others.
- Must be able to relay information concerning a resident's condition.
- Must have patience, cheerful disposition and enthusiasm, as well as the willingness to handle difficult residents.
- Must possess the ability to work professionally with other staff, residents, family members, and outside agencies/visitors.
Responsibilities
