Certified Nursing Aide (CNA)
About The Position
The Certified Nursing Aide delivers exceptional, individualized care according to each resident’s care plan. The role assists residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) while promoting independence and preserving dignity. The aide reports changes in residents’ health status to the clinical team and builds compassionate, positive connections with residents and their families. The position also involves ongoing learning through educational seminars, staff meetings, and other learning experiences, and requires compliance with rules and regulations concerning confidentiality and resident privacy. Other duties may be assigned.
Requirements
- High school graduate or GED equivalent.
- Current certification from an accredited Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) program.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to serve with love, compassion, and dignity.
Responsibilities
- Deliver individualized care in accordance with each resident’s care plan.
- Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) while promoting independence and maintaining dignity.
- Report changes in resident health status to the clinical team.
- Interact compassionately and meaningfully with residents and family members to create a positive experience.
- Attend and participate in educational seminars, staff meetings, and other learning experiences.
- Comply with rules and regulations regarding confidentiality and privacy of resident information.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
