Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA)
About The Position
Centurion is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to join its Medical team at Lawrence Correctional Center in Sumner, Illinois. Centurion provides comprehensive services to the Illinois Department of Corrections. CNAs work under the close direction of nursing, medical, and psychiatric staff to provide direct patient care to incarcerated individuals, supporting personal hygiene and daily living needs and monitoring vital signs. This is a full-time day-shift position with rotating weekends. The hourly rate is $22.77 or more; a $3-per-hour night differential and a $4-per-hour evening differential are also offered.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- CNA or other medical paraprofessional certification.
- CNA licensure in Illinois.
- Active, appropriate certification in Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)/BLS.
- Ability to obtain a security clearance, including drug screening and a criminal background check.
Nice To Haves
- Training, experience, or certification as a nurse’s aide, medical technician, or mental health worker.
- One year of experience in an acute care, long-term care, emergency, or correctional setting.
Responsibilities
