About The Position

Under the supervision of an RN or LPN, the Certified Nurse Assistant performs basic patient or resident care activities. The role requires critical thinking, effective communication, decisive judgment, and the ability to work with minimal supervision in a stressful environment and take appropriate action. This position is on the evening shift.

Requirements

• Florida Certified Nursing Assistant license.
• AHCA Background Screening for the State of Florida.
• Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association; accepted credentials listed are BLS American Heart E-Card and BLS Cert American Heart (non-e-card).
• Critical thinking skills, effective communication skills, decisive judgment, and ability to work with minimal supervision.
• Ability to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.

Responsibilities

• Report abnormal assessment findings or changes in patients’ physical, mental, and emotional conditions to nursing staff.
• Perform basic patient or resident care activities as delegated and supervised by an RN or LPN, including monitoring vital signs, taking blood glucose measurements, performing basic phlebotomy, and recording intake and output.
• Help keep patient rooms stocked, clean, and orderly.
• Assist patients with personal care and activities of daily living, including bathing, grooming, and eating.
