About The Position

Mt Olympus Rehab and Nursing in Salt Lake City, Utah, is hiring a Certified Nursing Assistant to help provide high-quality care to residents. The organization describes itself as a close-knit group focused on improving the lives of residents, their families, and staff.

This is a part-time weekend position. CNAs work 8-hour shifts; day shifts run from 6 AM to 2 PM, swing shifts from 2 PM to 10 PM, and night shifts from 10 PM to 6 AM. Part-time CNAs work 2–3 days per week. A nursing tuition reimbursement program offers up to $500 per month, pre-tax, for eligible employees attending nursing school. Eligibility requires working part-time or full-time and completing the first 90 days; no contract is required. The listed benefits are available only to full-time employees, not part-time or PRN employees.

Requirements

• Hold an active CNA certification in good standing issued by the state of Utah.
• Effectively communicate with residents, family members, personnel, visitors, and others on a personal level.
• Be able to make decisions independently when warranted.
• Have knowledge of medical and nursing practices and procedures.
• Have a thorough understanding of local, state, and federal laws and regulations pertaining to long-term care.

Responsibilities

• Answer residents' call lights to determine their needs.
• Turn and reposition residents while they are in bed.
• Provide physical support to help residents perform daily living activities, including getting in or out of bed, bathing, eating, dressing, using the bathroom, standing, walking, or exercising.
• Review dietary restrictions, food allergies, and preferences to help ensure residents receive an appropriate diet.
• Record food and liquid intake and output as necessary.
• Report changes in residents' conditions to nursing staff.
