About The Position

Mt Olympus Rehab and Nursing in Salt Lake City, Utah, is hiring a Certified Nursing Assistant to provide care to residents. The facility describes itself as a close-knit group focused on providing residents the best care possible and improving the lives of residents, families, and staff. Eligible employees may participate in a nursing tuition reimbursement program offering up to $500 per month pre-tax toward nursing school. Eligibility requires working part time or full time and completing the first 90 days; no contract is required.

The role offers 8-hour shifts. Day shifts run from 6 AM to 2 PM, swing shifts from 2 PM to 10 PM, and night shifts from 10 PM to 6 AM. Part-time CNAs work 2–3 days per week. The posted role is part time and weekends.

Benefits are available only to full-time employees; part-time and PRN employees are not eligible. Listed benefits include a 401(k) with company match, medical, dental, life, and vision insurance, and 12 days of paid time off.

Requirements

• Hold an active CNA certification in good standing issued by the state of Utah.
• Effectively communicate on a personal level with residents, family members, personnel, and visitors.
• Be able to make decisions independently when warranted.
• Have knowledge of medical and nursing practices and procedures.
• Have a thorough understanding of local, state, and federal laws and regulations pertaining to long-term care.

Responsibilities

• Answer residents’ call lights to determine their needs.
• Turn and reposition residents while they are in bed.
• Provide physical support with activities of daily living, including getting in and out of bed, bathing, eating, dressing, using the bathroom, standing, walking, and exercising.
• Review dietary restrictions, food allergies, and preferences to ensure residents receive an appropriate diet.
• Record food and liquid intake and output as necessary.
• Report changes in residents’ conditions to nursing staff.
