About The Position

Desert View Care Center is a skilled nursing facility in Buhl, Idaho, expanding its nursing team. The position is for a full-time CNA on the day shift, from 4 AM to 4 PM. Applicants who are not certified may receive on-the-job training and assistance obtaining certification. Training is tailored to each individual’s comfort level and experience. CNAs may also participate in nursing tuition reimbursement, with $500 per month applied toward a nursing program. The facility provides care for geriatric patients who require 24/7 care.

Requirements

• Current CNA certification or willingness to become certified within 120 days of employment.
• Effective communication with coworkers and residents.
• Willingness to learn local, state, and federal laws and regulations related to long-term care.

Responsibilities

• Answer residents’ call lights to determine their needs.
• Turn and reposition residents while they are in bed.
• Provide physical support with daily living activities, including getting in and out of bed, bathing, eating, dressing, using the bathroom, standing, walking, and exercising.
• Review dietary restrictions, food allergies, and preferences to help ensure residents receive an appropriate diet.
• Record food and liquid intake and output as necessary.
• Report changes in residents’ conditions to nursing staff.
• Develop relationships with residents to help ensure their stay is comfortable.
