Certified Nurse Aide - CNA Full Time
About The Position
Buckner Retirement Services is seeking a Certified Nurse Aide for The Stayton at Museum Way in Fort Worth, Texas. This onsite role provides physical and emotional support to residents while meeting or exceeding Buckner’s quality, service, and hospitality standards. The scheduled shift is 10:00 PM to 6:00 AM. The role includes checking residents’ comfort, safety, and cleanliness; assisting with prescribed care plans and personal care; maintaining sanitary conditions; documenting activities of daily living and other relevant information; and supporting residents with morning grooming and movement to the dining room. The position requires compliance with Buckner policies and applicable regulatory requirements, state laws, and federal laws.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
- Meet Buckner and governing-authority training and certification requirements, such as a nursing aide certificate and CPR.
- Ability to exert up to 100 pounds of force occasionally, up to 50 pounds frequently, and/or 20 pounds continuously to move objects or people.
- Ability to bend, stoop, twist, turn, reach, lift, carry, pull, push, climb, kneel, walk, and stand for over 75% of the shift.
Responsibilities
- Make regular resident rounds to check residents’ physical comfort, safety, and cleanliness.
- Follow Buckner policies and procedures and comply with regulatory requirements and state and federal laws.
- Assist with implementing prescribed health care plans.
- Provide safe care and treatment, including bathing, feeding, oral care, dressing, hair and nail care, moving residents, and responding to calls.
- Clean and sanitize urinals, commodes, bedpans, showers, wheelchairs, and other equipment.
- Accurately and promptly document activities of daily living, intake and output, and other appropriate information on charts.
- Wake residents, assist with morning grooming, and move residents to the dining room as needed.
- Change soiled and clean linen and distribute clean towels throughout the shift.
