About The Position
NorthCrest Specialty Care, a 94-bed long-term care skilled nursing community in Waterloo, Iowa, is hiring a Certified Nurse Aide to join its compassionate care team. The role supports residents throughout their healthcare journey by assisting with daily living, offering emotional support and companionship, monitoring health, and encouraging recreational and therapeutic activities. The position is full-time on the second shift, with every other weekend required. Compensation includes a competitive hourly rate and shift differential.
Requirements
- Active Certified Nurse Aide (CNA) certification in Iowa, or the ability to activate certification.
- Strong commitment to resident care, professionalism, and teamwork.
- Compassionate, patient, and respectful demeanor.
Responsibilities
- Support residents with daily living activities, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and eating.
- Provide emotional support and companionship while fostering a positive and engaging environment.
- Communicate with residents, families, and the healthcare team.
- Monitor residents’ health, including conducting routine vital checks.
- Encourage and facilitate recreational and therapeutic activities that enhance residents’ health and daily routines.
- Follow infection control protocols to help maintain a clean and safe environment.
