About The Position

Care Initiatives is hiring a Certified Nurse Aide to join its compassionate care team across its skilled nursing communities in Iowa. The role supports residents during their healthcare journey by assisting with daily living, providing companionship and emotional support, monitoring health, and encouraging recreational and therapeutic activities. The position is full-time evenings and includes every other weekend.

Requirements

• Active Certified Nurse Aide (CNA) certification in the state of Iowa, or the ability to activate certification.
• Strong commitment to resident care, professionalism, and teamwork.
• Compassionate, patient, and respectful demeanor.

Responsibilities

• Support daily living activities, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and eating.
• Provide emotional support and companionship while fostering a positive and engaging environment.
• Communicate with residents, families, and the healthcare team.
• Monitor residents’ health by conducting routine vital checks.
• Encourage and facilitate recreational and therapeutic activities to enhance residents’ health and daily routines.
• Follow infection control protocols to maintain a clean and safe environment.
