About The Position

Care Initiatives is seeking a compassionate Certified Nurse Aide to support residents in its skilled nursing communities throughout Iowa. The role focuses on assisting with daily living, providing companionship and emotional support, monitoring residents’ health, and helping create a safe, positive environment. Evening shifts are available from 2 p.m. to 10 p.m., with full-time and part-time schedules offered.

Requirements

• Active Certified Nurse Aide (CNA) certification in Iowa, or the ability to activate certification.
• Strong commitment to resident care, professionalism, and teamwork.
• Compassionate, patient, and respectful demeanor.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with daily living activities, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and eating.
• Provide emotional support and companionship while fostering a positive and engaging environment.
• Communicate with residents, families, and the healthcare team.
• Monitor residents’ health, including conducting routine vital checks.
• Encourage and facilitate recreational and therapeutic activities that support residents’ health and daily routines.
• Follow infection control protocols to help maintain a clean and safe environment.
