About The Position
Southern Hills Specialty Care is a 90-bed long-term care skilled nursing community in Osceola, Iowa, and is hiring a Certified Nurse Aide (CNA). This full-time position is scheduled for the second shift, 2 p.m. to 10 p.m. The CNA supports residents throughout their healthcare journey by assisting with daily living, monitoring health, offering companionship, and helping maintain a safe, engaging environment. The role is part of Care Initiatives, which operates more than 40 skilled nursing communities in Iowa.
Requirements
- Active Certified Nurse Aide (CNA) certification in Iowa, or the ability to activate certification.
- Strong commitment to resident care, professionalism, and teamwork.
- Compassionate, patient, and respectful demeanor.
Responsibilities
- Support daily living activities, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and eating.
- Provide emotional support and companionship while fostering a positive and engaging environment.
- Communicate with residents, families, and the healthcare team.
- Monitor residents’ health, including conducting routine vital checks.
- Encourage and facilitate recreational and therapeutic activities to enhance residents’ health and daily routines.
- Follow infection control protocols to help maintain a clean and safe environment.
