About The Position

Palolo Chinese Home, established in 1896, is a premier provider of long-term care for seniors. The Palolo Nursing and Rehabilitation Center is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Certified Nurse Aide to provide basic nursing care to patients under the supervision of a registered nurse or licensed practical nurse. The Certified Nurse Aide will assist with activities of daily living, monitor patients' vital signs, and ensure a safe, clean environment for patients.

Requirements

  • Successful completion of a state-approved Certified Nurse Aide training program
  • Current Hawaii certification as a Certified Nurse Aide
  • Current CPR & First Aid certification
  • 2 step TB clearance
  • Criminal Background Check, Fingerprinting, and Drug Screen Clearance
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment

Responsibilities

  • Assist patients with daily living activities such as bathing, grooming, and feeding
  • Take and record patients' vital signs
  • Assist nurses with medical procedures as needed
  • Ensure patients' rooms are clean and organized
  • Follow established treatment plans to help patients reach their healthcare goals
  • Provide emotional support and companionship to patients
  • Document care provided and report any changes in patients' conditions to the nursing staff
