About The Position
Westwood Specialty Care, an 85-bed long-term care skilled nursing community in Sioux City, Iowa, is hiring a Certified Nurse Aide. The role is part of Care Initiatives, which operates more than 40 skilled nursing communities across Iowa. The position supports residents during their healthcare journey by providing personal care, companionship, health monitoring, and assistance with recreational and therapeutic activities. Full-time and part-time day schedules are available. The employer describes the compensation as competitive and offers a shift differential. Requirements
- Active Certified Nurse Aide (CNA) certification in the state of Iowa, or the ability to activate certification.
- Strong commitment to resident care, professionalism, and teamwork.
- Compassionate, patient, and respectful demeanor.
Responsibilities
- Support daily living activities, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and eating.
- Provide emotional support and companionship while fostering a positive and engaging environment.
- Communicate with residents, families, and the healthcare team.
- Monitor residents’ health, including conducting routine vital checks.
- Encourage and facilitate resident recreational and therapeutic activities to enhance health and daily routines.
- Follow infection control protocols to help maintain a clean and safe environment.
