About The Position
Lyon Specialty Care, a 45-bed long-term care skilled nursing community in Rock Rapids, Iowa, is hiring a Certified Nurse Aide to join its quality-focused team. The community highlights a 2025 Deficiency Free Annual State Survey and a 2025 Bronze Commitment to Quality Award. This role supports residents through daily care, health monitoring, companionship, and participation in recreational and therapeutic activities. Full-time and part-time day schedules are available, with a competitive hourly rate and shift differential.
Requirements
- Active Certified Nurse Aide (CNA) certification in Iowa, or the ability to activate certification.
- Strong commitment to resident care, professionalism, and teamwork.
- Compassionate, patient, and respectful demeanor.
Responsibilities
- Support residents with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and eating.
- Provide emotional support and companionship while fostering a positive and engaging environment.
- Communicate and interact with residents, families, and the healthcare team.
- Monitor residents’ health, including conducting routine vital checks.
- Encourage and facilitate recreational and therapeutic activities to enhance residents’ health and daily routines.
- Follow infection control protocols to help maintain a clean and safe environment.
