About The Position
Southern Hills Specialty Care, a 90-bed long-term care skilled nursing community in Osceola, Iowa, is hiring a Certified Nurse Aide to join its compassionate care team. This full-time position is available on the day shift. The CNA supports residents throughout their healthcare journey by assisting with daily living activities, providing companionship and emotional support, monitoring health, and encouraging recreational and therapeutic activities. The role requires following infection control protocols and communicating with residents, families, and the healthcare team. Requirements
- Hold an active Certified Nurse Aide (CNA) certification in Iowa, or be able to activate certification.
- Demonstrate a strong commitment to resident care, professionalism, and teamwork.
- Have a compassionate, patient, and respectful demeanor.
Responsibilities
- Support residents with daily living activities, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and eating.
- Provide emotional support and companionship while fostering a positive and engaging environment.
- Interact and communicate with residents, families, and the healthcare team.
- Monitor residents' health, including conducting routine vital checks.
- Encourage and facilitate recreational and therapeutic activities to enhance residents' health and daily routines.
- Adhere to infection control protocols to maintain a clean and safe environment.
