About The Position
Care Initiatives is hiring Certified Nurse Aides to support residents in its skilled nursing communities throughout Iowa. The role focuses on helping residents with daily living activities, providing companionship and emotional support, monitoring health, and supporting recreational and therapeutic activities. CNAs are expected to communicate with residents, families, and the healthcare team and follow infection control protocols. Full-time and part-time day schedules are available.
Requirements
- Active Certified Nurse Aide (CNA) certification in Iowa, or the ability to activate certification.
- Strong commitment to resident care, professionalism, and teamwork.
- Compassionate, patient, and respectful demeanor.
Responsibilities
- Assist residents with daily living activities, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and eating.
- Provide emotional support and companionship while fostering a positive and engaging environment.
- Communicate with residents, families, and the healthcare team.
- Monitor residents’ health, including conducting routine vital checks.
- Encourage and facilitate recreational and therapeutic activities for residents.
- Follow infection control protocols to help maintain a clean and safe environment.
