About The Position
Sitter & Barfoot Veterans Care Center (SBVCC) is recruiting for a Certified Nurse Aide. CNAs are expected to perform the following duties: Assist with meals and escorts residents to the dining hall. Make rounds regularly, answer call lights promptly and respond courteously. Complete all required paperwork/computerized documentation for charting assessments. Provide each resident the necessary care in accordance with his/her plan of care and ADL record. Monitor and observe residents’ physical, mental, and emotional status, and report changes to Charge Nurse.
Requirements
- Current Virginia Certified Nurse Aide (CNA) license.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Knowledge of personal care needs and activities of daily living (ADL’s).
- Physical ability to turn, bend and lift non-ambulatory adult patients without restrictions.
Nice To Haves
- Experience in a long-term care or adult geriatric setting.
