About The Position

Oakwood Specialty Care, a 54-bed long-term care skilled nursing community in Albia, Iowa, is hiring a Certified Nurse Aide to join Care Initiatives’ compassionate care team. The role supports residents throughout their healthcare journey by assisting with daily living, providing emotional support and companionship, monitoring health, and helping maintain a safe and engaging environment. The position is full-time, with a 2 p.m.–10 p.m. schedule and every other weekend. Competitive hourly pay and a shift differential are offered. Requirements

Hold an active Certified Nurse Aide (CNA) certification in Iowa or be able to activate certification.
Demonstrate a strong commitment to resident care, professionalism, and teamwork.
Have a compassionate, patient, and respectful demeanor.

Responsibilities

Support activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and eating.
Provide emotional support and companionship while fostering a positive and engaging environment.
Communicate with residents, families, and the healthcare team.
Monitor residents’ health, including conducting routine vital checks.
Encourage and facilitate recreational and therapeutic activities that support residents’ health and daily routines.
Follow infection control protocols to maintain a clean and safe environment.
