About The Position
Chariton Specialty Care, a 60-bed long-term care skilled nursing community in Chariton, Iowa, is hiring a Certified Nurse Aide to support residents’ daily care and well-being. The role is part of Care Initiatives’ compassionate care team serving skilled nursing communities throughout Iowa. This is a full-time weekend package on the 6 p.m. to 6 a.m. shift, with a competitive hourly rate and shift differential. The Certified Nurse Aide helps residents with activities of daily living, provides companionship and emotional support, communicates with residents, families, and the healthcare team, monitors residents’ health through routine vital checks, supports recreational and therapeutic activities, and follows infection control protocols. Requirements
- Active Certified Nurse Aide (CNA) certification in Iowa, or the ability to activate certification.
- Strong commitment to resident care, professionalism, and teamwork.
- Compassionate, patient, and respectful demeanor.
Responsibilities
- Support residents with daily living activities, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and eating.
- Provide emotional support and companionship while fostering a positive and engaging environment.
- Communicate with residents, families, and the healthcare team.
- Monitor residents’ health, including conducting routine vital checks.
- Encourage and facilitate recreational and therapeutic activities that enhance residents’ health and daily routines.
- Follow infection control protocols to help maintain a clean and safe environment.
