Certified Medication Aide (CMA) Memory Care
About The Position
Iris Memory Care of NW OKC is hiring a Certified Medication Aide to provide compassionate, hands-on care to residents of its freestanding memory care assisted living community in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. The 54-resident community serves people living with Alzheimer’s disease or other forms of dementia and supports residents across the full spectrum of the disease. The role focuses on helping residents experience dignity, comfort, and joy in a close-knit, home-like environment. This is a full-time position on the 3 p.m.–11 p.m. shift. Pay starts at $17.50–$18.50 per hour, with higher pay for candidates with advancements; pay is negotiable based on experience. Priority is given to candidates with memory care experience.
Requirements
- Active listing on the Oklahoma Nurse Aide Registry.
- Current Certified Medication Aide certification.
- High school diploma or GED.
- At least 18 years of age.
- Genuine warmth, patience, and compassion for people living with memory loss.
- Reliable work history and consistency.
- Ability to meet continuing education and certification requirements for the position.
Nice To Haves
- Minimum one year of experience working with older adults.
- Experience in memory care or with residents with dementia.
- Advancements associated with higher pay.
Responsibilities
- Administer medications accurately in accordance with physician orders and community protocols.
- Assist residents with activities of daily living, including personal care, dining, and mobility.
- Support residents with life enrichment activities and social-recreational programming.
- Perform light housekeeping and laundry to maintain a clean, comfortable, home-like environment.
- Offer emotional and physical comfort and support to residents and families.
- Uphold each resident’s dignity, privacy, independence, and individuality.
