About The Position

Victoria Gardens of Allen seeks a Certified Medication Aide to provide medication-related and direct care support to residents. The aide verifies residents’ identities, administers medications according to specified procedures, observes residents’ responses, records required information, and reports unexpected reactions. The role also includes taking and recording vital signs and intake and output, responding to resident signals, and performing other duties as assigned. The position is listed as a double-weekend role at Victoria Gardens of Allen in Allen, Texas.

Requirements

• Hold a current, valid CNA certification in good standing.
• Hold a current Medication Aide certification in good standing.

Responsibilities

• Verify the identity of the resident receiving medication and record the medication name, dosage, and administration time on specified forms or records.
• Present medication to residents and observe ingestion or other application, or administer medication using specified procedures.
• Take vital signs or observe residents for responses to medications, and prepare a report or notify designated personnel about unexpected reactions.
• Take and record temperatures, blood pressure, pulse, respiration rates, and food and fluid intake and output as directed.
• Answer signal lights, bells, or the intercom system to determine residents’ needs.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
