The Certified Medication Aide (CMA) will meet all resident and household needs by actively assisting in all tasks to meet identified needs, to the extent of cross training and certification. This role involves clinical responsibilities such as administering medications and treatments under the leadership of a licensed nurse, attending to residents' personal hygiene and care needs, supporting residents in self-care, and observing residents for any changes in condition. The CMA will also participate in resident care planning and conferences. Additionally, the role includes responsibilities in dining services, such as preparing and serving meals and snacks, assisting residents with eating, and facilitating a pleasant dining atmosphere. Life enhancement activities involve planning and organizing social activities for residents, both individually and in groups, and facilitating spontaneous activities of resident choice. Housekeeping duties include maintaining clean living spaces, resident rooms, common areas, and ensuring adequate supplies. Laundry responsibilities involve maintaining residents' personal laundry in good condition. The position requires completion of cross-training for household activities, housekeeping, laundry, and homemaking, including food service and food handling.
