About The Position

Fast-paced, high-volume clinic looking for a top skilled Certified Medical Assistant. This role is full-time, 40 hours weekly, Monday through Friday from 8am to 5pm. The department emphasizes a collaborative team approach, a great work environment, and serves both pediatric and adult family care patients.

Requirements

High School Diploma or equivalent (REQUIRED)
CMA - Current Medical Assistant Certification (REQUIRED)
BCLS upon hire (REQUIRED)
Successful completion of THPG Clinical Training (CT) educational program with demonstrated competency in required skills - within 90 days of job entry (REQUIRED)
NO NEW GRADUATES ... MUST HAVE EXPERIENCE

Nice To Haves

A minimum of 3 years as a CMA experience in Pediatric, Family Practice or Hospital Setting (STRONGLY PREFERRED)
Current Phlebotomy experience (STRONGLY PREFERRED)

Responsibilities

Delivers care to patients utilizing the Certified Medical Assistant Process
Conducts patient check out, surgery scheduling and post operative calls as primary function of position
Communicates with patient regarding test results and plan of care by phone or mail as directed by physician
Provides for patient safety and protection of patient privacy rights
May work in the front office as needed
May perform other duties as assigned by practice manager, more senior staff, or as requested by healthcare provider(s)
