About The Position
Medical Assistants are essential members of the clinic team. They contribute to patient care by assisting with exams and procedures, organizing and managing patient flow, and taking on other responsibilities based on department needs. This position is PRN at Moffitt International Plaza.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Certification or registration from one of the following: American Association of Medical Assistants (CMA), American Medical Technologist (RMA), National Center for Competency Testing (NCMA), National Health Career Association (CCMA), or National Association for Health Professionals (NRCMA).
- Current Moffitt Medical Assistants must obtain certification from one of the listed organizations within one year of transfer.
- In lieu of CMA certification: successful completion of a Medical Assistant training program, applicable military medical training, or active enrollment in a BSN program with nursing fundamentals completed and proof of enrollment provided at the beginning of every semester.
