About The Position
West Coast Wound and Skin Care is hiring a field Medical Assistant to provide care to patients in their homes and travel within the Atlanta area. The Field MA administers misting therapy to wound patients five days a week and handles materials management, scribing, chart checks, and coordination of skin sweeps one day per week. The position is full-time, Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., and pays $22 per hour. Work is on the road.
Requirements
- Valid MA certification.
- Excellent customer service, organization, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong awareness of medical terminology.
- Strong desire for patient care.
Nice To Haves
- 1–2 years of clinical management or medical experience preferred.
Responsibilities
- Perform misting therapy on wound patients.
- Order medical supplies.
- Scribe for the respective doctors.
- Prepare patients for procedures.
- Perform chart checks to evaluate stalled wounds for existing patients.
- Coordinate skin sweep scheduling.
- Scribe for skin sweeps.
- Make initial assessment calls.
