About The Position

The Certified Medical Assistant supports physicians and other professional healthcare providers in the ambulatory care setting by delivering direct and indirect patient care. The role performs routine medical assisting procedures to promote patient comfort, safety, and quality care. This position is based in a Sleep Medicine Office and is full-time on the day shift.

Requirements

• High school graduation or equivalent, and/or graduation from a one-year medical assistant program or an accredited two-year medical assisting program.
• Previous experience or training in general medical office skills and procedures.
• Knowledge of medical terminology.
• Medical Assistant certification or registration through AAMA, AMT, NCCT, or NHA is required within 90 days of hire.
• CPR certification is required within 60 days of hire.

Nice To Haves

• Medical Assistant certification or registration through AAMA, AMT, NCCT, or NHA is preferred at hire.
• One to three years of experience in a medical or physician office.
• Basic business office, clinical, and computer skills.
