About The Position

Sentara Medical Group’s Family Medicine Providence Clinic is seeking a full-time Certified Medical Assistant to join its team in Virginia Beach, Virginia. In a fast-paced primary care setting, the CMA supports providers, assists with clinical procedures, coordinates patient care activities, and helps create a positive patient experience. The role includes patient-care and administrative or clerical tasks and procedures, performed based on training, education, and competency evaluations, and as delegated by and under the direction or supervision of a physician, NP/PA, RN, or LPN.

The clinic operates Monday through Friday from 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.; occasional 7:00 a.m. start times are required. The position offers a sign-on bonus of up to $5,000 for qualified candidates. The stated full-time hourly base-pay range is $21.69–$32.14. Additional compensation may include differentials, on-call pay, overtime, shift premiums, extra-shift incentives, or bonuses, and pay within the range may vary based on qualifications, experience, location, market conditions, and business needs.

Requirements

• High school graduate or equivalent.
• Current, unexpired Medical Assistant certification (CMA, RMA, CCMA, NCMA, NRCMA, CMAC, or equivalent) or EMT-Basic certification from an accredited organization.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 90 days of hire.
• Less than one year of related experience is required.

Nice To Haves

• One year of clinical experience is preferred.
