About The Position

Join our brand new orthopedic clinic now open in Grand Rapids, MI. Full-time Medical Assistant role with no weekends and a modern, team-focused environment. Signature Orthopedics by Sheridan is excited to welcome a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA/RMA) to our brand new, newly opened orthopedic clinic in Grand Rapids. Requirements

• Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) required
• High School diploma
• Must be a licensed Medical Assistant
• Knowledge of the day-to-day operations of a medical practice, to include basic patient care skills.
• Excellent communication skills required both verbal and written.
• The desire to grow professionally and to gain more responsibility as necessary.
• Ability to handle complex workload that requires meeting daily deadlines.

Nice To Haves

• Previous clinical or outpatient experience preferred
• Orthopedic experience not required—training provided
• Team-oriented with a patient-centered mindset

Responsibilities

• Room patients and obtain vital signs
• Document patient history and visit details in the EMR
• Assist providers with orthopedic exams and procedures
• Support injections, splinting, and dressing changes (training provided)
• Prepare and clean exam rooms
• Coordinate imaging, referrals, and follow-up care
• Ensure a positive and professional patient experience
• Collaborate with providers and clinic staff to support daily workflow
