About The Position

Willamette Valley Medical Center is seeking a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) for their Orthopedic clinic. This is a full-time position where the CMA will perform routine clinical and administrative duties, requiring critical thinking, decisive judgment, and the ability to work with minimal supervision in a potentially stressful environment. The role involves assisting with patient assessments and treatments, performing basic diagnostic procedures, monitoring patient conditions, documenting care, maintaining equipment and supplies, and handling administrative tasks.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Graduate of accredited medical assistance program or equivalent Required
• License: Certified Medical Assistant - CMA
• Basic Life Support (BLS) Within 60 days of hire

Nice To Haves

• Orthopedic Clinic experience highly preferred

Responsibilities

• Under the supervision of physician or nurse, assists with performing patient assessments and treatments.
• Performs basic diagnostic procedures and specimen collection.
• Monitors and communicates changes in patient condition.
• Documents patient care given.
• Maintains equipment and medical supplies, including reordering, stocking, cleaning, and troubleshooting.
• Maintains examination areas.
• Performs administrative or clerical duties as assigned, including filing, reception, scheduling, data entry, and patient registration.
