About The Position

The Medical Assistant supports physicians and other professional healthcare providers in an ambulatory care setting by delivering direct and indirect patient care. The position performs routine medical assisting procedures to promote patient comfort, safety, and quality care. The role is full-time, 40 hours per week, on the day shift at River Park Family Medicine.

Requirements

• High school graduation or equivalent and/or graduation from a one-year medical assistant program or an accredited two-year medical assisting program.
• Previous experience or training in general medical office skills and procedures.
• Proficiency or knowledge in medical terminology.
• Medical Assistant certification or registration through AAMA, AMT, NCCT, or NHA is preferred at hire and required within 90 days.
• CPR certification is required within 60 days of hire.

Nice To Haves

• One to three years of experience in a medical or physician office.
• Basic business office, clinical, and computer skills.
• Medical Assistant certification or registration through AAMA, AMT, NCCT, or NHA at hire.
