About The Position
The Certified Medical Assistant provides clinical support to medical and specialty providers at the onsite Medical Center at Linden Ponds. The role performs clinical duties as directed or assigned by clinical leadership or practice management, including patient assessments and procedures, and helps maintain treatment rooms and lab compliance. Linden Ponds is a continuing care retirement community in Hingham, Massachusetts, managed by Erickson Senior Living.
Requirements
- At least 1 year of medical clinical skills experience.
- Current and active medical assistant certification in accordance with the provisions of the certifying Board.
- CPR certification.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficiency with computers.
- Ability to perform vital signs, phlebotomy, EKGs, and injections consistently and with minimal supervision.
Responsibilities
- Perform initial patient assessments and obtain patient histories and vital signs.
- Perform EKGs, phlebotomy (blood draws), and injections.
- Stock treatment rooms and ensure they are clean.
- Partner with lab facilities to ensure compliance with EHMG policies and procedures and OSHA guidelines.
- Perform assigned clinical duties consistently and with minimal supervision.
