About The Position
West Coast Wound and Skin Care is hiring a field Medical Assistant to provide care to patients in their homes in the Detroit area. The Field MA administers misting therapy five days a week and handles materials management, scribing, chart checks, and coordination of skin sweeps one day per week. The role requires driving within the Detroit area. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Pay is $22 per hour. Work is on the road.
Requirements
- Valid MA certification.
- Excellent customer service, organization, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong awareness of medical terminology.
- Strong desire for patient care.
- Must be willing to drive within the Detroit area.
Nice To Haves
- 1–2 years of clinical management or medical experience preferred.
Responsibilities
- Perform misting therapy on wound patients.
- Order medical supplies.
- Scribe for respective doctors.
- Prepare patients for procedures.
- Perform chart checks to evaluate stalled wounds for existing patients.
- Coordinate skin sweep scheduling.
- Scribe for skin sweeps.
- Make initial assessment calls.
