About The Position

Sentara Comprehensive Care is hiring a full-time, day-shift Certified Medical Assistant in Norfolk, Virginia. The role performs patient-care and administrative or clerical tasks and procedures based on training, education, and competency evaluations. Work is delegated and performed under the direction or supervision of a Physician, Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant (NP/PA), Registered Nurse (RN), or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN). Qualified candidates may receive a $5,000 sign-on bonus.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
Active CMA, CCMA, RMA, or NREMT-Basic certification.
BLS certification is required within 90 days of hire.
One year of clinical or administrative experience.

Nice To Haves

Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program.
Phlebotomy experience.

Responsibilities

Perform patient-care tasks and procedures based on training, education, and competency evaluations.
Perform administrative and clerical tasks and procedures.
Carry out delegated work under the direction or supervision of a Physician, NP/PA, RN, or LPN.
