About The Position

Mercy LIFE Norristown in Norristown, Pennsylvania is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Certified Medical Assistant to join its interdisciplinary care team. The role provides clinical, restorative, and supportive care to older adults, helping them maintain independence and quality of life. Most work takes place at the center, with occasional community or home visits for specimen collection and participant support. The position is full-time, Monday through Friday, from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED.
Graduation from an accredited Medical Assistant program.
Current Medical Assistant certification.
Valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and current insurance.
Strong communication, customer service, and organizational skills.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and electronic documentation systems.

Nice To Haves

At least one year of Medical Assistant experience.
Phlebotomy experience.
Experience working with elderly, frail, or medically complex populations.

Responsibilities

Assist providers during examinations, treatments, and procedures.
Perform participant assessments, obtain vital signs, and administer medications as directed.
Conduct blood draws, specimen collection, EKGs, and other clinical procedures.
Assist participants with activities of daily living and supportive care needs.
Monitor participant health status and communicate changes to the care team.
Maintain accurate and timely medical documentation.
Support front desk operations, including participant check-in, scheduling, and phone communication.
Manage clinic supplies and help maintain a clean, safe, and organized environment.
