About The Position

Cleaver Medical Group is seeking a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join its Pain Management team. This role supports providers and helps ensure patients receive excellent care throughout their visits in a fast-paced medical environment. The position involves direct patient care, clinical and administrative support, accurate electronic medical record documentation, patient communication, and maintaining a safe, organized clinical environment. The ideal candidate is patient-focused, dependable, organized, compassionate, and comfortable working in a clinical setting and as part of a team.

Requirements

Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN).
Strong clinical and communication skills.
Ability to interact with patients professionally and compassionately.
Excellent attention to detail and accurate documentation skills.
Ability to maintain patient confidentiality and follow HIPAA requirements.
Comfort working in a fast-paced environment.
Reliable, organized, and able to work effectively as part of a team.

Nice To Haves

Previous experience in a medical office preferred.
Pain management experience is a plus but is not required.
Experience with electronic medical records preferred.

Responsibilities

Room and prepare patients for provider visits.
Obtain and document patient vital signs and medical history.
Perform urine drug screenings and other clinical testing as directed.
Assist providers with patient care and clinical procedures.
Review and update patient medications and medical history.
Pull and organize medical records, imaging, and other relevant patient information.
Accurately document patient information and care in the electronic medical record (EMR).
Respond to patient voicemails and assist with clinical follow-up as needed.
Communicate with patients regarding appointments, questions, and care instructions.
Assist with prescription-related requests and provider messages within the scope of the role.
Coordinate with providers and other clinical team members to ensure efficient patient flow.
Maintain a clean, organized, and fully stocked clinical environment.
Follow HIPAA, OSHA, infection control, and practice policies.
Provide professional, compassionate, and respectful patient care.
Perform other clinical and administrative duties as needed.
