Requirements

  • High school graduate or its equivalent
  • Complete a recognized MA program at an accredited college or university
  • Become certified within 90 days of hire
  • Possess a functional working knowledge of medical terminology
  • Demonstrate basic computer skills
  • Excellent and dynamic people skills
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Professional confidence

Responsibilities

  • Assisting with front office operation including greeting patients, in-processing and data entry.
  • Patient care coordination, interactive communication with medical staff.
  • Occasionally conducting triage procedures for initial evaluations of musculoskeletal disorders and injuries such as sprains, strains, lacerations, and contusions.
  • Safety surveillance procedures such as pulmonary function testing, hearing testing, eye exams, UDS's, and mask fitting
  • Assisting with medical testing, injections, blood draws, and medical screening
  • Participate in case management meetings
