About The Position

Avance Care is hiring a full-time Medical Assistant to support providers and deliver high-quality, compassionate patient care in a busy clinical environment. The role primarily supports one provider and requires flexibility and adaptability. Shifts are 12 hours on weekdays, with a rotating weekend schedule. A comprehensive benefits package is available on the first of the month following 30 days of employment. All offers are contingent upon successfully completing a background check and drug screen.

Requirements

• Hold one of the following certifications: CMA, CCMA, RMA, or EMT.
• Have at least one year of Medical Assistant experience.
• Demonstrate strong verbal and written communication.
• Maintain confidentiality and integrity.
• Have a growth mindset.
• Demonstrate flexibility and resilience.

Responsibilities

• Escort patients to and from exam and treatment rooms.
• Triage patients as necessary.
• Administer vaccines and injections.
• Record patient data before the physician’s visit.
• Assist physicians with examinations and a wide variety of procedures.
• Administer medications.
• Prepare and stock exam and treatment rooms, and order supplies as needed.
• Maintain proper disinfection protocols.
• Complete prior authorizations for medications and diagnostic imaging.
• Phone in prescriptions and distribute appropriate medications as ordered by the provider.
