About The Position
West Coast Wound and Skin Care is hiring a field Medical Assistant to serve patients in their homes throughout the Phoenix area. The role includes administering misting therapy to wound patients five days per week and, one day per week, handling materials management, scribing, chart checks, and coordination of skin sweeps. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. The position pays $22 per hour and is full-time. Work is on the road, and the employee must be willing to drive within the Phoenix area.
Requirements
- Valid Medical Assistant certification.
- Excellent customer service, organization, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong awareness of medical terminology.
- Strong desire to provide patient care.
- Must be willing to drive within the Phoenix area.
Nice To Haves
- 1–2 years of clinical management or medical experience preferred.
Responsibilities
- Perform misting therapy on wound patients in their homes.
- Order medical supplies.
- Scribe for the assigned doctors.
- Prepare patients for procedures.
- Perform chart checks to evaluate stalled wounds for existing patients.
- Coordinate skin sweep scheduling.
