Certified Medical Assistant, Cardiology, Full Time, Day
About The Position
Under the direction of the Provider, Practice Manager/Supervisor, and/or Service Line Director, the Certified Medical Assistant performs direct clinical activities in a courteous, caring, and respectful manner. Duties include patient intake, blood draws, pharmacy calls, EKGs, and tests required by the physician. The role accurately documents in an EMR system in accordance with licensure and Valley Medical Group (VMG) policies and procedures, and maintains close working relationships with practice staff to support workflow, care, and treatment. The schedule is Monday through Friday. Starting times vary between 7:45 AM and 10:30 AM, and standard shifts are 8.5 hours. Late evenings may be required Monday through Thursday, with one to two late nights per week beginning in September; late-night workdays conclude no later than 7:00 PM. The position is located at 1030 Clifton Ave in Clifton, and the listed pay range is $21.90–$27.37 per hour.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Completion of a formal Medical Assistant program recognized by the State of New Jersey.
- Current and valid certification as a certified medical assistant or registered medical assistant recognized by the Board of Examiners, such as AMT, AAMA, or NCCT.
- Strong orientation toward providing high-quality, cost-effective, comprehensive medical care.
Nice To Haves
- Previous Medical Assistant experience in a clinic, physician’s office, or outpatient setting.
- Understanding of the operations of a medical practice.
Responsibilities
