About The Position
The Certified Medical Assistant provides a variety of patient care activities under the supervision of a physician, advanced practice provider (APP), or registered nurse, in accordance with established guidelines and standards. Requirements
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program or completion of a Nursing Assistant program required; alternatively, one year of medical assistant or related clinical experience is required in lieu of formal education.
- No experience required, except where one year of medical assistant or related clinical experience is required in lieu of a degree.
- Basic Life Support (BCLS) certification required.
- Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) certification from AAMA or a similarly recognized certifying organization, or National Certified Medical Assistant (NCMA) from NCTT, required.
