About The Position

The Certified Medical Assistant provides a variety of patient care activities under the supervision of a physician, advanced practice provider (APP), or registered nurse, in accordance with established guidelines and standards. The position is with Ola Internal Medicine at Piedmont Medical Care Corporation. Requirements

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program or completion of a Nursing Assistant program required; alternatively, one year of medical assistant or related clinical experience may substitute for formal education.
• No prior work experience required, or one year of medical assistant or related clinical experience in lieu of the degree.
• Basic Life Support (BCLS) certification required.
• Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) certification from AAMA or a similarly recognized certifying organization, or National Certified Medical Assistant (NCMA)-NCTT certification required.
