About The Position

Pinehurst Comprehensive Treatment Center (CTC), part of Acadia Healthcare’s Comprehensive Treatment Centers, is an outpatient medication-assisted treatment opioid treatment program in Pinehurst, North Carolina. The clinical team provides counseling and therapy to patients seeking recovery from Opioid Use Disorder.

The Certified Medical Assistant completes clinical care and administrative tasks within the clinic as permitted by their certification in the state where the clinic operates. This full-time position works Monday through Friday, 4:45 AM to 1:15 PM, under the supervision of the Medical Director, Clinic Director, and Office Manager, if applicable.

Requirements

• Medical Assistant training from an accredited program.
• Medical Assistant certification in North Carolina.

Nice To Haves

• Experience in a clinic or outpatient setting is preferred.
• Previous experience in behavioral health or the addiction recovery field is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Take vital signs, perform venipuncture, collect body fluid specimens for analysis, and perform other trained procedures when ordered by the appropriate professionals.
• Demonstrate organizational skills, the ability to work with the public, and general knowledge of operating an office in a medical or clinic setting.
• Work under the supervision of the Medical Director, Clinic Director, and Office Manager, if applicable.
• Assist clinical staff in managing a specific caseload when training or experience in an outpatient treatment program qualifies the employee to do so.
• Perform receptionist duties as assigned, including answering telephones, recording messages, scheduling appointments, and ordering supplies; maintain accountability for receipts and cash control.
• Process incoming and outgoing correspondence.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
