About The Position

South Plains Rural Health Services is seeking a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA/RMA) to join its Big Spring clinic team. This position is an opportunity for a dependable, compassionate healthcare professional who enjoys working directly with patients and supporting providers in a busy outpatient clinic environment. The clinical team member helps ensure patients receive efficient, compassionate, and high-quality care. Employees must comply with the annual influenza vaccination policy by providing proof of vaccination or submitting a medical or religious exemption form and wearing a face mask during flu season.

Requirements

• Current CMA/RMA certification is required.
• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Comply with the annual influenza vaccination policy by providing proof of vaccination or submitting a medical or religious exemption form and wearing a face mask during flu season.

Nice To Haves

• Previous experience in a medical office, clinic, or healthcare setting.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients for examinations and procedures.
• Obtain and document vital signs and other patient information.
• Assist providers and nursing staff with patient care.
• Prepare and maintain examination rooms and clinical supplies.
• Assist with patient flow throughout the clinic.
• Document appropriate information in the electronic health record.
• Communicate professionally with patients, providers, and other members of the healthcare team.
• Follow infection control, safety, confidentiality, and HIPAA requirements.
• Perform additional clinical duties within the scope of certification and training.

Benefits

• Sign-on bonus of $2,000 for CMAs after completing six months of employment.
