About The Position
The Medical Assistant provides healthcare services to patients under the instruction of a Physician or Advanced Practice Provider (APP). The role performs routine clinical procedures, participates in patient education, documents appropriate information in patients’ health records, and completes other duties within the scope of certification. The position is required to report during inclement weather.
Requirements
- High school diploma.
- Graduation from an accredited Medical Assistant program.
- National or Registered Medical Assistant certification.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
Nice To Haves
- At least 2 years of professional Medical Assistant experience is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Provide healthcare services to patients as instructed by a Physician or APP.
- Perform routine clinical procedures.
- Participate in patient education.
- Enter appropriate documentation into patients’ health records.
- Perform other duties as assigned within the scope of certification.
- Report to work during inclement weather.
