About The Position
West Coast Wound and Skin Care is hiring a field Medical Assistant to provide care to wound patients in their homes throughout the Austin area. The Field MA administers misting therapy five days a week and handles materials management, scribing, chart checks, and coordination of skin sweeps one day per week. The role requires driving within the Austin area.
Requirements
- Valid MA certification.
- Excellent customer service, organization, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong awareness of medical terminology.
- Strong desire to provide patient care.
Nice To Haves
- 1–2 years of clinical management or medical experience.
Responsibilities
- Perform misting therapy on wound patients.
- Order medical supplies.
- Scribe for respective doctors.
- Prepare patients for procedures.
- Perform chart checks to evaluate stalled wounds for existing patients.
- Coordinate skin sweep scheduling.
- Scribe for skin sweeps.
- Make initial assessment calls.
