About The Position

Highpoint Health- Sumner is seeking a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) to support its Orthopedics team. The role contributes to the organization’s mission of making communities healthier by helping provide patient care and supporting clinical and administrative operations. The position is full-time and scheduled for day shifts.

Highpoint Health- Sumner is part of Lifepoint Health and has served Middle Tennessee for 65 years. It operates a 167-bed healthcare facility and has more than 1,000 employees and 300 physicians.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) required within 30 days of hire.

Nice To Haves

• Graduation from a Medical Assistant program preferred.
• Minimum of 2 years of medical office experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist with performing patient assessments and treatments.
• Perform basic diagnostic procedures and collect specimens.
• Monitor and communicate changes in patient condition.
• Document patient care provided.
• Maintain equipment and medical supplies, including reordering, stocking, cleaning, and troubleshooting.
• Perform administrative or clerical duties as assigned or needed.
