About The Position

As a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA), you’ll bring kindness, professionalism, and attentiveness to every participant interaction. You’ll provide direct care, support providers, and help the clinic run smoothly – making each participant feel safe, comfortable, and valued. Requirements

  • Current Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) credential.
  • Familiarity with EHR systems and strong record-keeping skills.
  • Must be able to move intermittently throughout the workday.
  • Must be able to lift, push, pull, and move a minimum of 25 pounds.
  • Must be able to assist with the evacuation of Participants.
  • Following proper protocols is essential when encountering issues/infestations in the homes of the Participants.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience working with older adults in long-term care, primary care, or a PACE program is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Welcome participants and prepare them for visits by taking vital signs, recording medical histories, medications, and conducting screenings.
  • Assist providers during exams, procedures, and treatments; administer medications and immunizations according to guidelines.
  • Perform lab tests, collect and prepare specimens, and help maintain clinical equipment and supplies.
  • Coordinate participant flow in the clinic including scheduling, pre-visit planning, and accurate EHR documentation.
  • Provide participant education on medications, treatments, diet, and follow-up care.
  • Act as a key connector between participants, providers, nurses, and interdisciplinary team members for smooth communication and follow-through.
  • Maintain compliance with infection control, safety, confidentiality standards, and PACE program regulations.
  • Participate in morning huddles, quality improvement activities, and interdisciplinary care discussions to improve outcomes and clinic efficiency.
