About The Position
Highpoint Health Sumner has been providing quality health care to Middle TN for 65 years. Since opening in 1959, they have grown from one facility with just 50 employees and 7 physicians to a comprehensive health care leader in the community with more than 1,000 employees and 300 physicians. Today, they operate as a 167-bed healthcare facility and provide quality care in numerous areas of health care. As a Medical Assistant joining the team, the mission is dedicated to making communities healthier.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent required
- Graduate of accredited medical assistance program or equivalent Required
- CCMA, CMA or RMA required
- Basic Life Support (BLS) obtain within 60 days of hire.
Nice To Haves
- Minimum 2 years medical office experience preferred
Responsibilities
- Assisting with performing patient assessments and treatments
- Performing basic diagnostic procedures and specimen collection
- Monitoring and communicating changes in patient condition
- Documenting patient care given
- Maintaining equipment and medical supplies, including reordering, stocking, cleaning, and troubleshooting
- Performing administrative or clerical duties as assigned/needed
